Ever wondered what it feels like to live outside the box!? Stephen Sawyer went against the grain to pursue his passion for art! His work Calvary is an example of living outside our understanding and seeing God in a way that is so real and full of emotion!
It was great to have Stephen here – and please feel free to ask him questions and I will pass them along to him! He is looking for some ‘REAL’ questions! LOL… I thought I was getting personal – yet he was wanting more! How fun is that someone who is not afraid to show their humanity both through their work and their lives.
Life is hard sometimes and there are no pedestals at home!
Super excited for this today! Starting soon!!! Woohoo… we may be starting a few minutes late but we will be here! See you all soon. Blessings

God bless you Stephen!
Steve is one of the greatest artist of all time. Especially his oil paintings of Jesus Christ because he paints him in human situations to stand in for us! If you haven’t seen his work go to http://www.art4god.com you will be blown away!! His children are all very talented in art and music and his wife Cindi is an incredible lady, wife and mother and the rock of the family!!
Thank you so much for sharing this with us all! I have to totally agree! What a wonderful artist and family. The world is blessed to have Stephen’s art.
Love that analogy.
Hello
did you always paint?
Stephen did you always paint? What mediums do you work in now?
Like most children I started with crayons. I work primarily in oils but i also use pastels. The outdoor murals are water based exterior house paint.
So many more questions… LOL… we may have to do another interview later about the different kinds of mediums you have used and for what? so fun!!!
your painting tells a real story bless you
Stephen a message for you from a friend of mine here in NZ! “Your Painting tells a real story bless you”
Thanks Stephen

This comment blessed my soul… thank you for sharing your thoughts!!!
Hey there !!! I know I’m a little late on the post. But I’m wondering is there a testomy behind the painting? About you or is it a friend that lead you to paint this picture. It’s very powerful painting. Thanks for being strong enough in God to paint this. Love your work of art.
Stephen talks about the inspiration for Calvary here…
