ANZAC Day in Owaka New Zealand – here are a few photos from this day’s Memorial Service. It is so well attended by the towns folk – a wonderful time of gathering and honouring those who gave their all and those who served along side them. It is a day to remember all those who have fallen but also to thank those who served beside them including the current veterans. Blessed to be able to be a part of the day.
At the end are photographs of the monument out at Katea a very small community near by to Owaka. As I was photographing that monument the sun came out and a reflection of the sky showed up in great splendor. It was as it the people on the monument were saying thank you and letting us know that they are indeed alive still in the hearts and minds of all who come and visit.
